Our Mission

We envision a residential agriculture industry that reduces shipments of food from far-off locations and increases neighborly engagement.  By replacing lawns with productive food gardens we can replace trips to the market with short walks into our yards and neighborhoods.  Produce varieties  designed to survive untimely harvest and transport are replaced with cultivars that are best picked at peak ripeness moments before the meal.  We believe there are enough neighborhoods with a physical footprint to support this residential agriculture industry that it can become a significant portion of the food-production pie along with local small farms and well-run industrial agriculture.
